About Grease Clear

Qualified mechanical engineering experience (7-year time served apprenticeship) and 25 years' specialization in warewashers, we have built up another company based on repeat business and referrals in the Catering field.  From time to time, we are asked for other large commercial catering equipment, and more recently grease traps.  As we wanted a clear marketing strategy for grease traps, we decided to set up a separate company, hence the birth of Grease Clear Limited.

One of our employees built up a considerable working knowledge of bacteria and their "undesirable" effects in the Food industry whilst working alongside microbiologists for 5 years in sales & marketing at BioCote Limited, a "leading" antimicrobial technology company.  This microbiological knowledge helped Grease Clear choose the right product range, as the GreaseShield(r) grease traps, unlike most other traps, have the added feature of removing food debris from the waste water before entering the trap.

Preventing food from entering the trap is beneficial for a number of reasons, namely:

• avoiding the growth of bacteria that cause unpleasant smells.
No-one wants unpleasant smells in the kitchen from the build up of bacteria in wastewater traps, which can be a hygiene issue.
• does not require expensive chemicals to remove blockages built up by organic matter.
