Regulations
Did you know that there are different standards for the two types of units, i.e. passive grease traps and mechanical grease traps. Contact us for assistance in ensuring your trap will meet the required regulations.
REGULATIONS concerned:
- The UK Water Industry Act 1991
- Building Regulations
- THE ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION ACT 1990
- Food Safety and Hygiene (England) Regulations 2013 and European Regulation (EC) no.852/2004 (includes structural requirements and the implementation of procedures based on hazard analysis and critical control point (HACCP) principles)
Surveys
The sizing of a grease trap is very important to ensure that it works efficiently. Whether you have your own treatment system or are plumbed to the mains waste water, you will need to ensure that your trap is suitable. If you have received a letter from the Water authority, we can provide you with the relevant information to respond once we have carried out the survey.
